DESCRIPTION: APW - Hamilton, Grade 992 marked "Special," 21J, 16S, gold-filled OF original swingout case with 1918 date engraved inside rear, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, ornate two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#870619. A rare watch, this example is notable for the extraordinary preservation of its two-tone damascene which exhibits a deep rich gold color with fiery bright luster. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO...
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, very near mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, exceptional two-tone color and luster, few minimal micro-fine scratches; dial with scattered faint hls including a cluster in the upper part of the center section, minuscule surface nick inside 3; excellent hands; case shows little wear, slight ding at lower right of rear visible as subtle ripple to reflection, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal with a minuscule finish bubble in its upper portion.
